KISS ANNOUNCES NORTH AMERICAN DATES FOR KISS ALIVE 35 TOUR BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 2009 (from kissonline)

As they celebrate 35 years of rockin', KISS today announced the dates of the KISS ALIVE 35 North American tour. The tour kicks off with a rapidly-selling, special multiple-show engagement in Detroit Rock City beginning September 25th, where KISS will be playing the classic album that started it all: KISS ALIVE! The tour leg will then hit more than 40 additional cities before concluding in December.
This incredible show will feature a new stage set, pyro effects that only the "hottest band in the world" could deliver, and all new costumes. Fans will be treated to a 2 1/2 hour set of rocks greatest hits, including "Rock and Roll All Nite," "I Was Made for Lovin' You," "Detroit Rock City," "God Gave Rock & Roll to You" and "Shout It Out Loud," as well as songs from the band's new album SONIC BOOM. Buckcherry will be main support on all of the KISS ALIVE 35 North American dates.
Said Gene Simmons, "For 35 years, KISS raised the bar for what a rock concert should really be. This year is no different - all new, all killer... all KISS! The master's class in rock is in session!     You heard it right folks, KISS is coming to Nashville on their upcoming Sonic Boom tour. The new album comes out October 6th and KISS will be playing the Sommet Center on October 28th with Buckcherry opening. This hasn’t been officially announced yet but we got this information from a VERY trusted source so book it! We will have lots of coverage of this show and stuff about the upcoming album in anticipation of it.

    Organizer Michele Stokley said she can finally confirm KISS appearance in Sarnia.

    KISS will perform on Friday, July 10.
    "It feels really good; we're really excited.It's more than just a rock show. It's everything that goes with KISS. They're a great band to see live", she said.

    In the January issue of Rolling Stone Brasil you may find a great interview with Gene Simmons. Among others Gene announces that the new KISS stage will be a multidimensioanl one, following the concept started with the Psycho Circus 3D Tour.
    KISS will tour South America by the end of 2009!!! 
  • WILL HALIFAX GET KISSED? (13 jan 2009)
    Rumours that legendary rock group KISS will perform an outdoor show in Halifax got much louder yesterday as a Halifax promoter began circulating teaser advertisements for the show.
    Advertisements scheduled to appear in today's Times & Transcript were telling readers to check a website for more information, but that website was not up and running yesterday afternoon.
    The ads simply say "get ready" and include the well-known makeup faces of Kiss members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley. Harold MacKay, a Halifax promoter associated with Power Promotional Concepts in Dartmouth, was not available for comment yesterday.
    The ads seem to lend more credence to the rumour that KISS will appear in Halifax.

    Halifax is said to be the launch site. Dates in Quebec City, Toronto, Edmonton, etc. will follow suit. Still hearing June 24 as a launch date. The tour will be in support of their upcoming album which will be released on KISS Records, and available through an as-yet-unamed big box retailer."

    We are writing songs for a new album that I expect we will record next year and release next summer. KISS singer-guitarist Paul Stanley will produce the disc. The band will follow the album’s release with a limited tour.
    “We’ll do a handful of shows just to keep in the game (next) summer, maybe 10 (dates), some Canadian shows. I know Halifax is one, but before you get out there and start the baseball season, they hold exhibition games, that’s what we’re doing. ’Cause once we go out, it’s going to be for a year and a half.”
    As for rumblings of a co-headlining tour with Queen: “Oh, I’ve heard that, but we don’t know until it’s real. I would be happy to step up on that stage. I’d (also) love to step up on a stage with the Stones.”
