MONSTER MAILED OUT TO PRESS TODAY

While KISSOnline announced the coming of the second single out of Monster (we anticipated the news from Doc McGhee earlier this month), today Universal Music mailed out Monster to press for review and commentary while interviewing KISS today. The promotional machine is running fast and the release date is approching....will Monster become the first n°1 charting album for KISS??? Few weeks left to know!The album is set for release on October 5th in Europe and October 7th in North America.

Classic Rock is launching a Limited Edition Collectors’ Folio containing four exclusive copies of issue 177.
Each copy of the mag will have a different member of Kiss on the cover – and within each issue there will be a feature on the band and the making of new album Monster.
Plus! Each band-member issue will include an exclusive interview with the respective cover star. Also included in the pack are four collectable art cards, one for each Kiss member: Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer.
The magazines and art cards will be presented in a highly collectable deluxe pack.
There are only 1,000 copies available and each copy will be individually numbered.

KISS X-PRESS TO BE LAUNCHED (from pollstar.com)

KISS fans with tickets to the last few shows on the band’s 2012 tour in the States will get a chance to test a new way to score sweet concert mementos – minus the lines at the merch table.  The band has rolled out a purchasing program called KISS X-Press in conjunction with Live Nation Merchandise and social media platform Ortsbo.
The service allows fans to make purchases via smart phone from the comfort of their seats during a concert, then pick up their goods from a designated desk at the venue.

KISS TO TOUR BRAZIL IN NOVEMBER

As we reported the other day, some dates for the forthcoming South American Tour in November had been posted on GeneSimmons.com in addition to the confirmed gigs on September 29 in Mexico City and October 1 in Monterrey. Apparently such dates have been removed from the site but strong rumors, as they appear on Brazilian newspaper, would confirm at least gigs in Brazil.

Come vi avevamo riportato alcune date del Tour Sudamericano erano stata postate su GeneSimmons.com, ma subito cancellate. I rumors però si fanno insitenti così come testimonia l'articolo sulla stampa brasiliana.

KISSOLOGY ALIVE51 PREVIEW

In the autumn of 1975 KISS released ALIVE! the double live album that skyrocketed them in the Rock stardom. Today, 37 years later, young Tribute band KISSOLOGY from Genoa (Italy) publish ALIVE51, recorded live during their recent gigs at the Area51, ALIVE51 is set for an October 15 release through Underground Symphony Records. ALIVE51 is a live CD that really sounds like a tribute to the masters of Rock and a tribute to the passion of the hundreds of musicians who have approached their instrument just by listening to ALIVE! album.
The music sounds fresh and powerful as a '70's KISS concert, sweat, bombs and errors included, that really make this CD "alive".
The track list is a mix of hits from the early days up to Modern Day Delilah and almost the same set from the Sonic Boom over Europe tour, maybe a few "obscure" tracks could have been included but what you get is enough to make you wish to go to see them at one of their upcoming live act, including the MONSTER release party to be held in Milan on October 20 and where you might buy ALIVE51 directly from the band.

Oggi 37 anni dopo, i KISSOLOGY, giovane Tribute band genovese pubblicano ALIVE51, in uscita il 15 Ottobre tramite la Underground Symphony Records e registrato durante le recenti apparizioni della band all'Area51 di Vignole Borbera. ALIVE51è un CD live che suona veramente come un tributo ai maestri del Rock ed un tributo alla passione delle centinaia di musicisti che si sono avvicinati al loro strumento proprio sentendo i solchi di ALIVE!
La musica suona fresca e potente come i primi concerti del quartetto Newyorkese, sudore, botti e sviste incluse che rendono davvero vivo il concerto che esce dalle casse del nostro stereo.

KISS TO TOUR SOUTH AMERICA, DATES AVAILABLE

According to GeneSimmons.com KISS will tour South America late this year.

In addition to the gigs on September 29 in Mexico City and October 1 in Monterrey KISS will play November 7 Buenos Aires, 10 Chile, 14 Porto Alegre, 16 Rio, 17 San Paulo.

THIS DAY IN KISSTORY: SEPT. 10 1975 ALIVE! IS RELEASED

Alive! is the fourth KISS album. It is considered to be their breakthrough and a landmark for live albums. Released on September 10, 1975, the double-disc set contains live versions of selected tracks from their first three studio albums, Kiss, Hotter Than Hell and Dressed to Kill. The album was recorded from concerts in Detroit, Michigan, Wildwood, New Jersey, Cleveland, Ohio and Davenport, Iowa.
The album outperformed expectations as it was certified gold, becoming both Kiss' and Casablanca's first top ten album. The album's title was a homage to the 1972 live album Slade Alive! from the English rock group Slade, a band that Kiss were heavily influenced by.

KISS "MONSTER" ALBUM RELEASE DATES INFO
According to "KissNews.de" Universal has given the following information about the realese of the new KISS album:
The "Monster" album is scheduled to be released in the following formats at the following release dates (as of today, subject to change):
5.10.2012: Germany, Austria and Switzerland
8.10.2012: rest of Europe
9.10.2012: USA
10.10.2012: Japan
The album will also be released in other countries, but the available formats and release dates may vary. In Japan at CD Japan the first pressing will also contain a free Bonus-Poster. The album is supposed to be available in the following formats:
CD (USA, EU-pressing with original logo and German pressing with censored logo). CD with original logo is available at Amazon USA and at Wow HD.
CD (limited edition with 3-D cover): probably also available as US-pressing, EU-pressing with original logo and German pressing with censored logo. Seems to be available here already at Amazon Germany.
Picture Disc: strictly limited US-Picture Disc, which will also be available in Europa as import. However, it will only be available from one retailer in each country. Since it is a stricly limited edition it will be rather expensive.
There are no confirmed infos concerning Bonus Tracks.

Secondo KissNews.de le date di pubblicazione e i formati di Monster varieranno da paese a paese e saranno anticipate di 10 giorni rispetto alla data fino ad ora ufficialmente pubblicate. Sembra venga anche pubblicato un CD con copertina 3D e un vinile picture disk in edizione limitata.

102.3-FM, The Mountain, a rock radio station in Northeastern Pennsylvania, will present a three-hour "KISS ON THE MOUNTAIN" radio special and webcast on Saturday, September 15 from 8-11 p.m. (EST). For the international audience, the program will also be streamed on the station's website at www.102themountain.com
The show will be hosted by Alan K. Stout, an award-winning music journalist, DJ and life-long KISS fan. Stout has seen KISS live in concert 31 times and has interviewed members of the group on 12 occasions. He names KISS as his favorite band. The show will feature:

MONSTER ON VINYL READY FOR PRE-ORDER

As anticipated on these pages, "Monster", KISS 20th studio album, set for release on October 16 through Universal Music Enterprises will be available olso on vinyl and apparently ready to ship on October 9, one week earlier then the CD edition.  "Monster" has been produced by Paul Stanley with Greg Collins at Conway Studios in Hollywood, California, and The Nook in Studio City, California.

The vinyl version is now available for pre-order at Amazon.com.
