GENE SIMMONS TELLS WHY KISS IS GOING TO CRUISING (by W. Immen)

In an exclusive interview with Avid Cruiser, Gene Simmons tells why the legendary band KISS will become the Kings of the Night Time World on a cruise of the Carnival Destiny that starts Oct. 13 from Miami and returns Oct. 17. Here an excerpt.

"The KISS Kruise is a chance for all of us — the band and the fans — to have a ball." "We’re going to have a deck up top to ourselves and we will certainly want to bring up fans."

So are we going to get a preview of your new album on the cruise? "That could happen. We try not to make too many rigid plans. It’s like we’re invited to a party and we don’t want to make plans." More

Here is an exerpt from an interview with Alice Cooper who is promoting "Welcome 2 My Nightmare" album.
Out of curiosity, what is your relationship like with the band KISS?

"Well, we knew KISS before they were KISS. Like before they called the Dodgers the Brooklyn Dodgers, they were a bunch of different things. Basically, we told them where to buy their make-up, you know? I think the only thing I said to them was, “You’re gonna get criticized anyway because you’re wearing make-up, and people are going to immediately equate you with this.” And what they said in the press was very smart, you know: “If one Alice works, than four ought to work.” And they were smart also do a show that wasn’t anything like my show. They used pyro and lasers and all the stuff that Alice didn’t use. And Gene [Simmons] is very smart, and so is Paul Stanley, and they’re smart enough to work with Ezrin, and they kind of chose him for what they were doing, and it worked. And I’ve never been at odds with KISS, ever. They’ve always been guys that we’ve gotten along with; we’ve never really been at each other’s throats at all. In fact, I’ll probably be the one that’s championing them for the [Rock and Roll] Hall of Fame."

12 SONGS RECORDED FOR MONSTER AND BOTH TOMMY AND ERIC ARE ON LEAD VOCALS

Recently Eric Singer talked with KISS Army Chile, some news on new KISS album : "Both me and Tommy sang lead. We had already recorded 12 songs but I don't how many songs will be on the album, can be 12, 11 or 10 I do not know yet because we will choose once we will finish all the songs. We will decide which will be on the album and how many, so 10 or 12 songs I do not know yet. But we recorded 12 songs." Listen to the interview here
