GENE NON SARA' AL MCFARLANE WESTGATE STORE
Putroppo a causa di un malinteso e principalmente per il fatto che gli organizzatori volevano obbligare gli ospiti della manifestazione, che si terrà il 6 di Novembre, ad acquistare per almeno $35 per poter avere un autografo Gene ha declinato l'invito.
"Quando io e Todd lavoriamo faccia a faccia tutto è OK, ma quando ci si frappone qualcun'altro no" ha commentato Gene.

Due to misurderstandings and mainly becouse it was said people should buy $35 worth of goods in order to get an autograph Gene cancelled his presence at the event on the 6th of November.

Ciao, partiamo dalla fine, ovvero dall’ultima pubblicazione di Paul, One live KISS.
L’attesissimo DVD ci racconterà il dietro le quinte di Live to Win.
Tutti noi abbiamo sentito l’ultimo lavoro solista di Paul, Live to win.
Personalmente l’ho trovato molto “Paul ‘78” con suoni forse più moderni, ma sopratutto con una forte maturazione vocale.
Tu cosa ne pensi, e considerando le linee vocali dei lavori Paul qual è la caratteristica della voce di Paul che più ti piace ascoltare e quella che pensi essere più in grado di riproporre?
Ciao Deuce! Considero Live to Win un bel disco, le canzoni sono brevi , essenziali e rimangono impresse nella mente già al primo ascolto , ottimi i suoni , il rock è
melodico ma potente e , in effetti, le linee compositive si avvicinano alle canzoni del Paul solista del 78.
Personalmente mi sarebbe piaciuto sentire
le chitarre un po’ piu’ “ graffianti “ ma in ogni caso è un CD da conservare in ogni KISS collezione !
Le mie canzoni preferite sono: LIFT , WAKE UP SCREAMING , IT ’S NOT ME e WHERE ANGELS DARE !

Hello Paul , we start from the end , from the latest publication of Paul, One live KISS.
The eagerly awaited DVD that will show the behind the scenes of Live to Win.
We all have heard the last solo work of Paul, Live to win.
Personally, I found very "Paul'78" with perhaps more modern sounds, but especially with a strong and matured vocals.
What do you think about, and taking into consideration the characteristic of Paul’s vocal lines what are the thinks you like the most to hear and what you like to perform?
Hello Deuce! I consider Live to Win a beautiful album, the songs are short, essential and remain imprinted in the minds already at the first hearing, sounds good, the rock is melodic but
powerful and, in fact, the songwriting remind to the songs of Paul solo from ‘78.
Personally I would have liked to hear some more raw guitars but in any case is a
must have CD in any KISS collection!
My favorite songs are LIFT, WAKE UP SCREAMING, IT 'S NOT ME and WHERE ANGELS DARE!

Alcune persone tendono a trasformare questa vita in una grande festa e basta, ma trovo che la maggior parte di quelle persone di faccia del male da sola e bruci piuttosto velocemente".
Per i fans americani Eric sarà con Alice Cooper questo sabato al Harbour Station e domenica al Moncton Coliseum.

Ti va di raccontare ai nostri amici qui in Italia, la storia di quel costume spettacolare?
E’ un piacere passare del tempo con voi!
La storia del costume non è davvero così incasinata come la gente possa pensare. Il costume è diventato quello che è oggi semplicemente in virtù del fatto che non avevo la minima idea di come realizzare accuratamente un costume di Gene dopo '75, e volevo almeno che il mio fosse simile d uno del '76 o una versione successiva.

Can you tell our friends here in Italy the story about that great costume you made?
The time shared is my pleasure!
The story with the costume is really not as elaborate as people may think. It became what it is today simply by virtue of the fact that I had no idea how to accurately make any of Gene's
costumes past '75, and I wanted mine to be at least '76 or later.

Ma partiamo da un po’ da più lontano.
Recentemente hai pubblicato KKB che hai messo in vendita con pezzi limitati a 1.000 copie attraverso il tuo sito www.kulick.net (io ho il
n°42!).
Ascoltandolo mi ha stupito la qualità e il suono che esce delle tracce (ed eravate veramente giovani a quei tempi !!!).
Puoi condividere con noi alcuni ricordi di quelle sessions di registrazione?
Sinceramente non ricordo molto se non che volevo a tutti costi suonare alla grande e la musica che proponevamo era veramente challenging, come hai potuto
sentire.
Tutti sappiamo che sei attualmente in tour con i Grand Funk Railroad e che sei veramente preso, ma siamo anche in attesa del tuo prossimo album, alcune buone
notizie al riguardo?
Il CD uscirà nel 2009 ... nient'altro da dire in proposito in questo momento se non che mi piace da morire e che ci lavorerò ancora nei prossimi mesi in modo da ultimarlo per la pubblicazione
all'inizio del prossimo anno.
E poi avere Gene co-autore di un pezzo strafigo in cui tra l’altro canta è stupefacente.
È veramente uno momento fantastico per il mio nuovo CD .. altre notizie, prossimamente.
Personalmente ritengo (e non sono da solo!) Che hai avuto un grande impatto sul suono dei KISS e che il tuo stile ed i tuoi contributi sono cresciuti costantemente nel corso degli anni.
Hai cambiato anche chitarre nel corso degli anni, ma c’è una chitarra che hai usato in passato che è ancora sul tuo rack e di cui non puoi fare a meno?
Beh la mia Les Paul ‘53 era sul disco solista di Paul Stanley nel 78! Era mio fratello che la suonava ed è stata presente poi in molti altri pezzi dei
KISS.
Sappiamo, come hai ricordato in molte interviste, quali sono stati i chitarristi che ti hanno influenzato quando eri giovane; quali sono a tuo dire i chitarristi
di questi ultimi anni che ritieni possano influenzare le prossime generazioni?

But let’s start stepping a little back…
You recently published KKB and you are selling the limited 1,000 copies through
your site www.kulick.net (I’ve got the #42!!!)
Listening to it I was astonished about the quality and the overall sound that comes out of the tracks (and you were really young at those times!!!).
Can you share with us some memories about those great recordings sessions?
I really don't remember much other than I wanted to play great and the music was challenging as you tell listening to it.
We all know you are currently on tour
with Grand Funk Railroad and you are really busy, but we are also waiting for your next album, some good news about it?
The CD will be out in 2009... nothing else to say about it right now other than I love it, and it is being worked on for the next few months, so get it ready to release early next
year.
Well getting Gene to co-write and sing a terrific song is amazing. Really is a shining moment for my new CD.. more news as it
develops.
I personally think (and I’m not alone!) that you had a great impact on the KISS sound and that your style and contributions grown constantly through the years.
I saw that you also changed your guitars through the years, but is there a guitar that you played in the past that still is on your rack and that you can’t live without?
Well my Les Paul 53 is on even Paul Stanley's solo disc from 78! Was my brothers, and it has been on many KISS and others recordings.
We know, as you
mentioned in many interviews, by which guitarists you were influenced by while you were young, can you tell us which are the these last years guitarists you think will influence the next
generations?
Well John Mayer is a great songwriter and guitarist... some of the new metal guys are terrific as well. But I still feel that the Hendrix/Clapton/Beck influence will rule 4ever!

I met you last year on tour with ESP and I saw how you and Eric play by heart together.
Do you think there will be chances for us to see you again playin’ together?
WE are working on coming over in Feb 09. So be patient.
Can you share with us the best image you have while thinking about your KISS years?
Playing on stage and seeing a huge adoring crowd going crazy!
I’ll try to find a way for you to come to Italy and play for us.
Which are the cities you would rather prefer to visit? (the right answer is Verona where I live ;-))

Bruce riferisce che il suo nuovo lavoro solista BK3 sarà pronto nei primi mesi del 2009.
Tra un concerto a l'altro sta procedento alla registrazione dei pezzi che andranno a comporre il CD, che molo probabilmente verrà ancora una volta distribuito direttamente da Bruce, almeno in un primo tempo.
Chi ha avuto la fortuna di poter ascoltare il pezzo inciso con Gene riferisce che la canzone potrebbe essere il sequel di "It's my life" ma con un sound che sembra un mix tra Revenge e COS.

Bruce reports that his new solo work BK3 will be ready in early 2009.
He's proceeding in the works between a concert and another to put down all the tracks that will appear in the CD, that will be most probably once again distribuited directly from Bruce, at least initially.
Who was lucky to hear the piece he wrote with Gene reports that the song could be considered a sequel to "It's my life" but with a sound that seems a mix between Revenge and COS.

Prima di tutto voglio ringraziarti per dedicare parte del tuo tempo a me alla KISS ARMY Italiana.
Alcuni di noi ti conoscono molto bene essendo tu uno dei più famosi KISS fan negli USA!!!
Vorrei però che molti altri ragazzi Italiani ti conoscano meglio (in particolare quelli che non masticano molto bene l’inglese).
Potresti raccontarci brevemente chi sei e quali sono le attività che hai in corso??
Sono nel music business negli USA da 25 anni. Le mie attività nel campo musicale hanno spaziato dalla radio alla distribuzione, dal writing a lavorare per una casa discografica, alla
TV. Sono stato VP della Megaforce Records dal 1986 al 1990 e il primo artista con cui ho firmato un contratto fu proprio Ace Frehley.
Ho lavorato in tutti i suoi
quattro lavori da solista. Attualmente ho due radio shows. Uno dal vivo da New York City su Q104.3 e le sue radio locali affiliate, una live su XM satellite radio. Sono stato conduttore TV per
VH1 Classic dal 2001 al 2005.
Un mio nuovo show è pronto per il debutto a Novembre di quest’anno che si chiamerà "That Metal Show".
E’ una tavola rotonda con artisti sia rock che metal. E due divertentissimi comici come co-conduttori.
Tu sei un KISS fan di lunga data. Gran parte di noi hanno conosciuto i KISS solo a fine anni ’70 con il “disco hit” IWMFLY.

Some of us know you very well being one of the most notable KISS fun in the USA!!!
I whish anyhow to let other Italian folks (mainly who still do not know English so well) to meet you.
Could you briefly tell us who you are and which are your main current activities?
I have been in the music business in the USA for 25 years. My jobs have included music radio, retail, writing, record label and TV. I was VP of Megaforce Records from 1986-1990 and my
first signing was Ace Frehley. Worked on all four solo releases. Currently I have two national radio shows. One live from New York City on Q104.3 and syndicated stations, one live on XM satellite
radio. I was a music TV host for VH1 Classic from 2001-2005. I have a brand new show coming to the channel November of this year called "That Metal Show". Its a roundtable discussion with rock and
metal artists. Two very funny comics as co-hosts.
You are a long time fan, since the early days. Most of us knew KISS for the first time only in the late ’70, with the
“disco hit” IWMFLY.
When did you hit by KISS for the very first time and which are your memory of those times
