GENE SIMMONS Q&A: GUITAR HERO KISS IN THE WORKS?
Recently Gene attanded the Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock launch party. He chatted with USA Today about his voicing the character of the Demi-God of Rock in the new Guitar Hero and more. Here an excerpt:
There's been other Guitar Hero games devoted to bands such as Aerosmith and Van Halen and other music games based on the Beatles and Green Day. What about Kiss?
Well, every company knows that -- because Kiss has been at the forefront of pushing the limits in terms of live shows and technology and licensing and merchandising -- we wouldn't just do another Kiss game. The Activision people already heard my take on what it would take to do a Kiss game -- Mount Rockmore: Guitar Hero. You see Mount Rushmore with our Kiss faces on it. And it would obviously be a different experience. It would be a Planet Kiss. Oh, I'm sorry, I already trademarked that. Kiss is, by some marketing estimates, the four most-recognized faces on the Planet Earth. Do you know what the King of Sweden looks like? That's funny, everyone in Sweden knows what Kiss looks like. KISS IS EVERYWHERE: X FACTOR PAYS HOMAGE TO KISS

During yesterday broadcast of the Italian X Factor TV show, two singers paid homage to the greatest band in the world. The first one wearing a Gene Simmons t-shirt and the other one donning the trade mark Paul's Star make up. Needless to say, among the judges' team and vocal coaches we may find Enrico Ruggeri and Fabrizio Palermo two long time KISS fans...KISS is everywhere!!

Durante la trasmissione di ieri di X Factor TV, due cantanti hanno omaggiato la più grande band del mondo, Manuela ha indossato una t-shirt di Gene Simmons mentre Dorina addirittura salita sul palco con la famosissima stella di Paul. Inutile ricordare che tra i giudici e i vocal coach possiamo trovare Enrico Ruggeri e Fabrizio Palermo due KISS fans di lunga data...KISS is everywhere!!

KISS ROCKED AGAIN, MORE THEN 500,000 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE HOTTEST SHOW ON EARTH TOUR
KISS ended their Noth American treck of the Sonic Boom Tour in front of more then 50,000 people in Fontana, Ca., at the KROQ Epicenter Twenty Ten Festival. Tour attendance figures surpassed the 500,000 units. Although last night show was streamed live on the internet and broadcasted on the Armed Forces Radio Network, it was cut short (90 minutes) due to time constraints.

KISS will head now to Mexico for a 4 dates tour

After a well deserved breack KISS will enter the studio February next year to record the follow up to Sonic Boom. Before that some new video releases will hit the market (namily KISSology IV and probably the 2009 Cobo Show).

Si è concluso sabato a Fontana in California il Sonic Boom Tour Nord Americano che ha visto più di 500.000 persone assistere agli shows. L'ultima serata è stata caratterizzata da una set list accorciata a causa di limiti imposti dall'organizzazione e da un piccolo incidente a Tommy che ha rischiato di essere ustionato da una torre di fuoco all'inizio del lo show. I KISS suoneranno adesso in Messico per quattro date prima per poi fermarsi a godere il meritato riposo. Prima del loro ingresso in studio a febbraio del prossimo anno per produrre il seguito di Sonic Boom verranno pubblicati alcuni lavori video (KISSology IV e molto probabilment lo show alla Cobo Hall del 2009).

GENE SIMMONS LEGAL HUMPING

According to Hollywood Docket "Kiss singer and reality TV star Gene Simmons will be allowed to argue that his costume, "the equivalent of a suit of armor," prevented him from humping an ESPN makeup artist. A Los Angeles judge is allowing Simmons' lawsuit seeking a declaratory order to continue despite the defendant's counterargument that the preemptive suit amounted to a "legal humping".

As reported here last week, Gene will be today at Raptor Guitars in South Phoenix, He will  be meeting and greeting exclusively with the lucky new owners of his AXE bass guitar, signing each one for authenticity. More

Come riportato qui settimana scorsa oggi Gene sarà al Raptor Guitars a Phoenix per incontrare i fans e autografare il suo AXE Bass.

Nel frattempo Gene è riuscito a depositare una contro casusa per molestie ad una dipendente della ESPN durante uno show TV in quanto sostiene che il suo costume di scena gli impedisca qualsiasi attività "non consona"...

ERIC SINGER:" NOBODY HAS A SHOW LIKE WE DO"
Eric will play is hometown Cleveland this Sunday, John Benson from News-Herald.com had a nice talk with Eric talking about Eric's life in KISS and more.
Here some excerpt: "Nobody has a show like we do," Singer said. "I'm up there breathing that (expletive) and getting blown up every night. It's unbelievable. It's like an assault on your eyes and ears. It's a great show. I guarantee you'll walk away with a smile on your face. I always say KISS is like one of those things that everybody needs to see in their life. Everybody should see the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls or the Universal Studios Tour. And to me everybody should see Kiss at least once. More

Eric suonerà nella sua città natale, Cleveland, questa Domenica e John Benson del News-Herald.com ha fatto una piacevole con Eric parlando della vita di Eric nei KISS e molto altro. Ecco qualche estratto: "Nessuno ha uno show come lo facciamo noi," ha detto Singer. "Sto lassù tutte le sere e me lo godo anch'io come voi. E 'incredibile. E' come un attacco ai vostri occhi e orecchie. E 'un grande spettacolo. Vi garantisco che chiunque veda lo show se ne andrà via con un sorriso stampato in faccia. Io dico sempre che i KISS sono una di quelle cose che tutti devono vedere nella loro vita. Tutti dovrebbero vedere il Grand Canyon, le cascate del Niagara o gli Universal Studios. GENE SIMMONS MAKE UP MORPHING

Although Gene made always some adjustment to his make up during the years, recently he wiped out almost completely the bottom part of the black "bat wings".

THE 300 GUITARS THAT MADE KISSTORY

Do you know how many guitars KISS used in their career? Almost 300!!
Only Paul used more then 20 different Flying V guitars from the beginning to the current Washburn PSV2200B, while Gene used 16 shaped Axe basses from 1979 "I was made for lovin' you" video to his own trademark in 2009. Now there’s a crazy project around, to have all these guitars plus all drums set pictured and described in one great cool book!! Read it all here

What did you learn from Donald Trump when you were on "Celebrity Apprentice"? "Donald learned a few things from me, if you don't mind me saying so."
About the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame :"Once you put Madonna and rap stars in it, it ain't rock 'n' roll. I don't want to see dancers onstage, I don't want to hear tapes or click tracks. That's a different form of music. Where I come from, that's called karaoke."

THE SUCCESS OF SONIC BOOM REPRESENTS A WELCOME TURN OF FORTUNES FOR KISS (By Alan Sculley Post-Tribune correspondent)
While KISS are destroying America with their huge and successfull Hottest Show on Hearth Tour, it's really cool to read still good review and comments on their latest (but not last!) album Sonic Boom. Here an excerpt:
The previous Kiss studio CD, "Psycho Circus," did little to prove that the band still had creative life in it. Now a little more than a year later, the verdict on "Sonic Boom" is in, and it's been positive, with some critics even saying it's the best CD from the band since early career albums like "Dressed To Kill" and "Destroyer."The success of "Sonic Boom" represents a welcome turn of fortunes for Kiss, whose future looked cloudy only a few years ago.
